Quicksharp Services formed the origin of the LGL Group and started its journey as a saw blade re-grinding and sales company in Buckingham.

1989Introduced a range of consumables

Acquisition of Lockwood architectural ironmongery

To grow the range of consumables and customer reach, Quicksharp purchased a division of the Lockmetal group - Lockwood Architectural Ironmongery.

Quicksharp purchased Avondale, a consumable and wood finishing supplier based in Evesham, Worcestershire. Therefore expanding customer base and product range.

To facilitate growth and stock holding further investment was made into a 12,000 sq. ft. warehouse/distribution facility within the Signal Hill site.

As part of the strategy to provide a complete range of sliding solutions a partnership with Tomma AU is formed to supply the Tomma systems throughout Europe.
